Chelsea are still in contact with Enzo Fernandez's side. After offers for Brighton's Moises Caicedo and Everton's Amadou Onana were rejected, Chelsea hope to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.

Enzo Fernandez's release clause is £106 million. Benfica also wants to receive this transfer money immediately.

Chelsea even sent an offer of 112 million pounds to Benfica but was rejected. The reason is because Chelsea wants to pay in 3 installments, with an amount of £ 37.3 million sent to Benfica over 3 years. But Benfica disagreed with this payment method, despite Enzo Fernandez making no secret of his desire to leave the club.
