Albert Sambi Lokonga officially left Arsenal after being scolded by Odegaard

Arsenal confirmed the farewell to Albert Sambi Lokonga, the midfielder will join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of this season.

Albert Sambi Lokonga was scolded by Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard on the pitch during Arsenal's FA Cup defeat to Man City. The player born in 1999 often stands in the wrong position, creating opportunities for the green Man to hit the ball dangerously.

Martin Odegaard was unable to calm down when his teammates made too many mistakes, he pointed and directed harsh words towards Lokonga. At the end of the match, instead of staying to shake hands with the Man City players and thank the fans who came to the Etihad Stadium to cheer for the team, Lokonga went straight into the tunnel.

And just a few days after being criticized by the Arsenal captain, Lokonga decided to leave the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal confirmed the farewell to Albert Sambi Lokonga, the midfielder will join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of this season.

Albert Sambi Lokonga leaves Arsenal to Crystal Palace on loan

Lokonga arrives at Arsenal in the summer of 2021 in a £17m deal from Anderlecht, but has to be substituted for Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey. The fact that Arsenal signed Jorginho from Chelsea for £12m was the reason why they decided to let Lokonga leave. The player will play under coach Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace.

"I'm really excited - I can't wait to get started," Lokonga told the Palace website . I am really happy to be joining Crystal Palace. I want to go as far as possible with the team. I will try to push myself and with the team to win as many victories.”

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish said: "I would like to welcome Sambi to the club, I am delighted that he has accepted to work under Patrick's management for the remainder of the season. He has been on our radar for several years since his good performance at Anderlecht, and we have high hopes that his contribution will help the team perform better for the rest of the season."
