After the loss to Leeds, coach Jurgen Klopp was pessimistic about Liverpool's ability to reach the top 4 this season. The German strategist admits the harsh truth:
"We all understand how the gap is with the leading group right now. We won't be able to get into the top 4 if we keep playing unstable like this. The whole team needs to quickly fix the current problems.
Liverpool's position in the table is not my biggest concern at the moment. What worries me is the way we play, especially the situation where we conceded the second goal against Leeds.
Obviously, we are not allowed to defend like that. They scored with only 3 players participating in the attack, of which only 2 players appeared in the penalty area. If this draw is not too bad, but the way Liverpool defended in that situation and then received defeat is unacceptable.
A really bad game. We started well but we conceded first in a way we shouldn't have. Even after the equalizer, things didn't get any better."
