Quarter-finals of the World Cup 2022: 2 super wars, Portugal 'ends the fairy tale' of Morocco?

The 8 best teams have appeared in the quarterfinals of the World Cup 2022. Only 4 teams have gone to the semi-finals and any team that has to stop the game is a regret for what they have shown since the beginning of the tournament.

The 2022 World Cup has officially closed the 1/8 round and there are 2 more teams participating in the quarterfinals, Morocco and Portugal. The 8 strongest teams in the tournament have been revealed and the audience will see 4 extremely exciting and dramatic matches from the big men or the dark horse team like Morocco.

Quarter-final matches were also determined when Brazil faced Croatia; Netherlands vs Argentina; England will face France and Portugal will meet Morocco.

1) Brazil vs Croatia: Hard for Modric and teammates

Thanks to his tenacity and experience at the decisive moments, Croatia excellently defeated Japan on penalties after holding a draw after 90 minutes. Overall assessment, in the official 120 minutes, they are somewhat inferior to the opponent and Croatia's play is difficult to stop the very powerful Brazil at this time.

Selecao solved the match against Korea in the first half. Neymar's return helped Brazil like a "tiger grow more wings" when Vinicius or Richarlison played much more elegantly. The pieces from the 2 wing corridors will be an extremely powerful weapon of Brazil to deal with Croatia.

Croatia is no longer as good as it was 4 years ago, although they still have the experience of the old generals. However, it is difficult for Dalic's army to be surprised by the youth and technical skills of the Brazilian team when looking at the play of the two teams.

2) Netherlands vs Argentina: Sad ending for Messi?

One of the matches that received a lot of attention from the audience. The pragmatic play of the Netherlands helped them overcome the US convincingly. They are full of confidence to enter the match against Argentina. The weaknesses of Argentina in the previous matches may be the key for the Netherlands to think about a victory if they are fully exploited.

Messi and his teammates did not find it difficult to overcome Australia in the 1/8 round. However, there are still many problems in the play of the South American representative. Against an opponent like the Netherlands, Argentina will have to pay a very heavy price if they continue to make mistakes like in the match against Australia or Poland.

3) Morocco vs Portugal: Hard to get a 2nd fairy

Morocco created an earthquake when it overcame Spain to make it to the quarterfinals of the World Cup for the first time. Thanks to a pragmatic and somewhat negative defensive style, Morocco is considered the most unpredictable opponent in the quarterfinals.

Portugal in the day without Ronaldo in the main team easily destroyed Switzerland. The European Selecao have proven themselves to be strong contenders for the title thanks to their speedy and efficient play.

Morocco's opponents in the last 4 matches have not been sharp and lacked a breakthrough in attack. This has converged enough in Portugal since the beginning of the tournament and they will not be too difficult to penetrate the Moroccan defense if they continue to play as they did against Switzerland. Most likely Morocco's magical journey will end here.

4) England vs France: An eight-pounder half a pound

Both France and England were not difficult to overcome Poland and Senegal in the round of 16. The two teams will face each other in the quarterfinals and this is the early final of the tournament when converging stars on both sides of the front line.

England have always been questioned about their ability and bravery in important matches in previous major tournaments. This will be a small advantage for the champions when Mbappe is still shining brightly.

However, the French side is not appreciated for the defense, especially on the two sides of the wing corridor. England will need to exploit this to be able to think about a win. After what was shown from the beginning of the tournament, any team that was eliminated after this match left a lot of regrets. At the same time, the team that gets the victory will get closer to the gold cup thanks to its bravery.
